Thanks to Capt. Robert Odenweller for his "Ask Odenweller" editorial in the October TPE. "It should be mentioned that awards in years long past seemed to gravitate toward cups of various sizes, or "mugs." For what it's worth, those looking for the cups were some what derisively called mug hunters..."

FROM ONE MUG HUNTER TO ANOTHER...
Persistence does pay off.
After 15 years, 2 Reserve Grands, 1 International Gold, 32 WSP Golds and 55 Special awards - I finally got my GRAND! Was it worth it? You-bet! Would I do it again? I have already started.

Hopkins Wins at Americover 2008
The Americover 2008 Grand Award for "Forerunners: The Philatelic Truck & Souvenir Sheet" went to Gregg A. Hopkins, Sr.
Congratulations as the exhibit also won a gold medal, the distinguished American Philatelic Society's Research Award, and the American Philatelic Congress Book Award for Best Write-up.

Gregg also received the Finger* — the Marge Finger Most Popular Exhibit Award, for "Luck of the Draw."
